This 50th Anniversary limited-edition 314ce is one of a suite of commemorative models crafted to celebrate Taylor’s milestone 50th year. There are several premium updates to the popular cutaway Grand Auditorium 314ce, starting with a torrefied Spruce top, which adds an extra splash of responsiveness and warmth to its musical personality. Taylor's special roasting recipe for the top slightly darkens the Sitka soundboard, and they’ve enhanced that vintage character with an artfully sprayed shaded edgeburst around the body and neck. A firestripe faux-tortoise pickguard adds a bold visual touch, while other complementary aesthetic details include gold Taylor tuners and Ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots. Other featured appointments include a 3-ring rosette with contrasting black and white purfling, black body binding, Gemstone fretboard/peghead inlays in Italian Acrylic, and a rich full-gloss body. The guitar also sports the freshly designed commemorative 50th anniversary label. Sonically, between the torrefied top and V-Class voicing architecture, this Grand Auditorium will delight players with its range-roving musical versatility, serving up signature Taylor balance and clarity with pleasing warmth, projection and sustain.
